Mold Allergy Symptoms

by admin on October 20, 2009

If you have been experiencing different symptoms that you are having a hard time finding the root cause, then you might suffer from mold allergies.  There are always mold spores that are existing in the air and some strains can be very toxic to humans.  Mold allergy symptoms can include such things as respiratory problems, headaches, mental fogginess, body aches and pains, rashes and depressions.

These allergies are usually a problem during certain times of the year when mold is more likely to be in the air.  In seasons like autumn, when lots of different organic matter is decomposed it will create a lot of mold.  Spring can also be a very common month when mold begins to reproduce by release large amounts of mold spores.

Mold can develop very easily in warm humid environments, or environments that have a lot of moisture due to rain and flooding.  If you have an unnoticed water leak, or warm kitchen and bathroom environments they are idea for different mold growth.

It is often very difficult for people who are allergic to mold to completely avoid all forms.  You can however choose to eat the right foods to reduce the occurrence of any allergic reaction from forming.   You should try and focus on eating foods that are very fresh and check all the foods that you eat.  Try and avoid eating smelling foods because some of the pores can be inhaled when you are eating.   This can create an allergic reaction.

Some popular foods that people eat that contain mold are cheese, mushroom, vinegar, sour cream, buttermilk, meat or fish that is more than a days old.  Try and limit the intake of these foods because they are likely to have mold spores that are attached to them.  Always make sure that you check these foods before you eat them and see if there are any signs of mold on them.

Basements and dark places in your home are places where mold can often be found growing.  You should try and avoid these places at all costs in order to reduce any of the mold allergy symptoms that you may be experiencing.  It is almost impossible to completely avoid all forms of mold, however, you can take steps to try and reduce the exposure you have to mold.  Always try and stay clear of different spaces and areas that are likely to have different spores growing in them.
